Located on the 3rd floor of a typical Marseille building (no lift), this elegant and air-conditioned flat, recently refurbished, consists of a pleasant living space of 55 m² and contains :

The neighborhood
This beautiful flat is ideally located, in the heart of the 1st arrondissement of Marseille in a pedestrian street, to discover the city on foot. Ideal to go to the Old Port (8 min walk), visit museums (Mucem, the museum of Marseille, the Cantini museum...), markets and beautiful squares with Mediterranean colours. Close to the Plage des Catalans (15 min by car) and the terraces to have a drink in the sun. We also recommend the restaurants Restaurant 1860, Maison MV, La Nautique or Le Fioupelan for a good meal. Finally, there is nothing better than simply strolling around, Marseille will seduce you with its many assets!

Pulizia non ottimale, scarico doccia non funzionante , wc dentro la cucina, appartamento terzo piano senza ascensore,entrata nel palazzo tetra, scale d’ingresso sporche , nessuna accoglienza, difficoltà a comunicare con host ,solo grazie a Booking ho ricevuto rimborso di una somma che ho pagato in più per aver un check in assistito da una persona e che invece alla fine è avvenuto in modo automatico. Inoltre chiedono una caparra che non è scritto al momento della prenotazione

They ask you for a deposit of 700e once the reservation is confirmed which is mentioned before but if you are not used to reading all the details you'll be surprised..
You only pay service fees (2-15e) and they make a hold of your card until check out ( pre authorization ) but it's something you might want to know before booking.
Also the host Hervé was not friendly at all.

Not a "didn't like" however for awareness it is up 3 narrow, although well lit, sets of stairs.
The area itself is not as nice as closer to the port however the flat itself is well located for transport links.

The door to the toilet was broken so would not close properly and could not lock.
There was a coffee making machine but the coffee capsules were not for that machine.

Il n’y avait pas d’alaise sur les matelas (seulement un drap plat recouvrant difficilement la totalité du matelas). Des traces de rongeurs étaient présentes sous l’évier : crottes et papier journal déchiqueté.

Attention voisins du bas extrêmement bruyants dès le matin, quartier proche de la gare donc agité mais proche des commerces qui sont ouverts jusqu’à tard donc cela compense. Dommage qu’il n’y ait qu’un seul trousseau de clé…c’est un gros point à changer!

die schlüsselbox befindet sich an einem souterrain fenster, wo man in kürzester zeit von moskitos umringt ist und schon bei beginn der reise einige stiche abbekommt. beim betretender whg muss sofort die alarmanlage ausgeschaltet werden (mit einem code). leider haben die betreiber nicht erwähnt, dass es sich um ein touchscreen handelt und wir konnten nicht schnell genug reagieren. alles in allem ein holpriger start. was ich etwas befremdlich fand, waren die kameras in der wohnung. k.a. ob wir während des aufenthaltes gefilmt wurden. am ende mussten wir das apartment sauber verlassen, was bedeutete, dass das geschirr sauber ist und der müll mitgenommen wird. 10h morgens war auch leider der späteste check out, da gab es leider nichts zu verhandeln. ich hätte mir hier für den preis ein wenig mehr empathie vom (airbnb) betreiber gewünscht.

Je n'ai pas aimé :
- Les travaux dans la cage d'escalier qui ne m'ont pas été signalés, avec les bruits des travaux qui commençaient à 08h00 le matin donc pas de grâce mâtiné possible.
- La porte des toilette est tellement dure à ouvrir et fermer que je n'ai pas osé la fermer à clef.
- Nous avions besoin de joindre quelqu'un le dimanche 05 mais personne n'a répondu après plusieurs appels.
- Dans le prix était compté le ménage, malgré tout, il m'a été demandé de faire la vaisselle en partant et de descendre la poubelle.

I didnt like the bedbugs on the couch and the bed. My wife, myself, and my kids were covered in bug bites every night in that place. I have been all over and never had this happen, even in NYC.

While the apartment's features and furnishings were comfortable and the rooms were well sized and well air-conditioned, the level of cleanliness was below what was expected given the price range (my children's feet turned black after being barefoot for only an hour from entering the apartment). There were also complications with the independent check-in (the keybox was not working), so we had to wait for someone to come to the property to provide a key.|
The property was not accessible from the road - it was located within a pedestrianised street where vehicle access was restricted. As I was travelling with small children and required to unload various heavy items (baby sleeping cot, etc), this was considerably inconvenient. This could have been clearer from the property listing.

The wifi cut off suddenly during the night and the toilet is located next to the kitchen so a bit unsanitary and unpractical. We had to shorten our stay and look for a hotel nearby. Very disappointed.
The lockbox of the key was convenient but a bit uneasy to find at night.

Yesterday, we received a message 1h before checkin with the address, instructions etc. At first we went to the address listed in the airbnb app. We had received a code for the keybox but it wouldn’t open. We then contacted the person who had sent the message and asked, sent a photo of where we were and asked for help. We then discovered that the address that was sent to us before checkin was not the same as the one on airbnb. We thought we had made a mistake and walked over to what we thought was the correct address. We opened the keybox and went inside. We then noticed that it was not the place we had made a reservation for at all. We called and the person on the phone said that they had sent the wrong address and directed us back to the initial address, now with another code for the keybox.
We headed back and were called up again to find out that the cleaner had the keys and would let us in. By now an hour had passed, we had been walking in pouring rain, all our clothes and bags soaked. We were looking forward to getting ready for our remaining day in Marseille when the cleaner tells us that she’s not finished yet, that the bathroom and bedroom still need to ble cleaned. Already an hour late, we kindly asked her to finish up what she was doing and leave the rest, since we had a reservation at a restaurant that we didn’t want to miss.
We understand that mistakes can happen but we felt that it could have been handled differently from your side. We are not very happy with the checkin experience as you might understand. We would like some form of compensation for this. I’m not the one to leave bad reviews normally, but we really felt like this affected our trip in a bad way.

Das größte Problem war der Check-In. Dieser erfolgt über eine Schlüsselbox und nicht wie damals bei der Buchung beschrieben persönlich. Die Lage der Schlüsselbox war falsch beschrieben und man musste sie suchen. Allerdings war die PIN falsch, sodass wir die erste Nacht in einem Hotel schlafen mussten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Host war schlecht - er schien nicht wirklich interessiert an dem Problem. Auch die Beschreibung für das Finden der Wohnung innerhalb des Wohnhauses war stark fehlerhaft. Den Aufzug haben wir den ganzen Aufenthalt nicht gefunden.

Les moins : L'immeuble est voisin d'une boîte de nuit très mal insonorisée, le weekend on entend le boum boum toute la nuit. Cuisine mal voire pas équipée, ne pas prévoir d'y faire la cuisine.

Appartement propre et clim dans tt les pièces.
Literie très bonne et bcp de rangement.
Mobilier moderne. Rien à redire.
NB le micro-onde et le four ne font qu'un ! Ne le chercher plus.
Je n'ai pas tellement aimé n'avoir vu personne pour la remise des clés, états de lieux d'entrée/sortie. Tout de fait par mail ou message (envoi de photos/vidéo). C'est dommage notamment pour les questions.
Il manque aussi cruellement de vaiselle et des poêles/casseroles.

Die Unterkunft ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Hafen entfernt, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Kommunikation mit dem Hausverwalter hat gut geklappt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Waschmaschine haben wir erst am letzten Tag gefunden, die Mikrowelle gar nicht. Es war schwierig, zu kochen: es gibt nur einen Topf, keine Kelle, keine Suppenteller oder große Schüsseln.
Leider hat ein Nachbar (oder jemand in der Straße?) am Wochenende von nachts um drei bis früh um sieben laut Musik gehört.

Zwei grosse schöne Schlafzimmer mit guten und breiten Betten.
Wasser und Strom hat gut funktioniert, ebenfalls Dusche und Kochherd. Gute Lichtquellen.
Im Parterre befindet sich eine Disco/Club. An einzelne Nächte ist dann nicht mit Schlaf zu rechnen.
Sofa im Wohnzimmer mit vielen Flecken, sollte ausgewechselt werden. Ebenfalls der Duschvorhang.
Die Möbel sind allgemein sehr billig und darum wackelig.
Kühlschranktüren (doppelte) sind falsch installiert, deshalb schwierig zu öffnen.

Néanmoins, beaucoup de points négatifs. 1/ La literie : les lits ne sont que des 140 cm, et pas du tout les lits king size annoncés. Les draps sont trop petits, un drap simple fait office de drap housse et il est trop petit pour être coincé sous tous les bords du lit. Résultat, le lit se défait constamment la nuit, et comme il n’y a pas d’alèse, on se retrouve directement sur le matelas. 2/ L’emplacement : il y a un bar au rez-de-chaussé de l’immeuble (le Sam Sam « L’orientale », non répertorié sur Google mais qui existe bel et bien). Il propose des soirées dansantes/musicales de minuit à 6h du matin. Sur les 4 nuits passées dans l’appartement, il a été littéralement impossible de dormir 2 nuits (vendredi et samedi soir, le bar était fermé le dimanche et le lundi, mais selon sa page Facebook en été il est ouvert tous les jours sauf le lundi). 3/ Le ménage est assez léger, si les sanitaires, la cuisine et les draps sont propres, le sol est vraiment sale. Il y a de la poussière et des poils par terre, les pieds deviennent noirs 5 minutes après être sorti de la douche… Pas très agréable.
