The neighborhood

Ideally located in an area with good transport links, you can explore Marseille by all means. There was a group of youths hanging around the front entrance to the building which may be intimidating to some. The property uses Welkeys to manage the bookings, and Swikly to process the security deposit. In spite of us sending photos to Swikly of the damage we observed upon check-in, Swikly held onto our deposit as Welkeys said we had caused this damage. Fortunately my persistence and the help of Booking.com's Customer Service meant we were able to get our full deposit back, but it was frustrating that Swikly did not share our initial observations of damage with the Welkeys team, causing alot of unnecessary stress, We would suggest that you also inform Welkeys of any defects/damage you observe at check-in to avoid any misunderstanding, and don't rely on Swikly passing this information on- also screenshot anything you submit via their apps.

We didn’t spend much time at the BnB,the location was quite noisy especially the neighborhood, the bathroom’s faucet was broken so the water was floating around and I had to reach for help through the app a couple of times after messing up some covers bc an episode of nose bleed. I got charged but nobody has ever answered me.
I even tried to wash them but clearly I didn’t have enough products to clean them properly.

Très mal entretenu cependant : four en panne, télécommande de la télé cassée (piles oxydées), robinet du lavabo de la salle de bain cassé (passe à travers le plan de travail), cafards dans la salle de bain et les toilettes, même la brosse WC a le manche qui se détache, canapé en fin de vie
Quartier peu rassurant si l'on est seul(e)
Agence peu arrangeante : refus de donner un double de clé et le code de l'immeuble, refus de laisser les bagages dans l'immeuble le jour du départ

C'est un super appartement et vous obtenez un deux-pièces pour le prix d'un un-pièce mais le service de gestion est très mauvais. Nous avons dû résoudre trois problèmes simples et c'était un cauchemar d'entrer en contact avec l'équipe locale. Nous avons essayé tous les numéros de téléphone qu'ils ont fournis plusieurs fois, mais il n'y avait aucune aide à obtenir. Parfois, le bureau à Paris décrochait et promettait que l'équipe locale serait en contact, mais l'équipe locale n'était pas fiable pour nous appeler.

Arrivée dans cet appartement insalubre le samedi à 16.30, un appel toutes les 1/2h jusqu’à 19h pour que quelqu’un vienne faire le ménage et changer les draps, en vain ! A 19h, plus personne ne nous répond, plus de chambre d’hôtel disponible, nous allons acheter des produits ménagers et laver les draps et serviettes dans une laverie automatique (total : 60€). Plus aucune nouvelle jusqu’à notre retour, nous les rappelons et… on nous accorde royalement 56€ de dédommagement !!!!!!!
A notre arrivée,
• Tous les sols et murs sont très sales
• WC sales, cigarette dans la cuvette
• Salle de bain : sol et étagères sales, mitigeur de douche gauche absent, mitigeur de la vasque ne tient pas, un bac contenant des déchets et du linge sale, aspirateur rempli de poussière grasse et collante et de mégots
• Chambre 1 : cigarette à la tête du lit, linge de lit et de toilette sales, fenêtres sales donnant sur une cour insalubre
• Chambre 2 : linge de lit et de toilette sales, linge sale roulé en boule dans le placard, fenêtres sales donnant sur un balcon en mauvais état et une rue bruyante
• Cuisine : des denrées oubliées grasses et collées, sel cassé dont le contenu se répand, le lave-vaisselle est plein de vaisselle qui en dépit du lavage est encore sale, les éponges sentent mauvais et il n’y a pas de produits. Le sol, les coussins de chaise et les meubles sont sales et collants.
• Séjour : les 2 fenêtres couvertes de coulures et les « balcons » sont très sales, la télé est tombée par terre, cassée dans un coin, un fauteuil bancal
• Environnement : sale et bruyant, des blattes sortes du trottoir en béton…

Check in and out is quite easy as the keys are in a locker in front of the door. Make sure to not pay a fee for late check-in as there’s no one coming to greet you :-)
There are supermarkets, bakerys and metro station close by and your 10 minutes (walking) away from the cathedral which is halfway to the old harbour . The area itself is an upcoming area which is multicultural and quite nice.
