Fantastic view over the city. The apartment was very clean and is in the perfect location to experience Marseille. Everything you need is right around the corner and while the streets around it are loud and busy (with people more than cars), the apartment was quiet at night.

Superbe vue et dans l'ensemble séjour convenable, la personne "contact" était plutot réactive.
Mais quelques desagréments quand meme, surtout pour un logement censé être tenu par une "agence" :
- la porte separant salon et chambre etait cassée, impossible à fermer
- la porte de la douche ne se fermait pas complètement
- on ne nous avait pas donné le nom de l'interphone, pas très pratique pour un appart au 4eme sans ascenseur
- le mobilier est uniquement du 1er prix et très minimal: par ex, la chambre est constituée d'un lit et rien d'autre
- une housse de couette avait ete laissée sur une couette, non lavée, roulée en boule sous le canapé

The location is perfect if you like to enjoy the busy and interesting area of la plaine. There’s a lot of bars around but the apartment is still very quiet, especially with the windows closed. The balcony is very nice. The kitchen is equipped very basic. We had a great time and totally recommend the place.

Didn't have breakfast option - self -catering. Location was very good.
Collection of the keys was a nightmare. We were given the wrong code for the lockbox. Only for the Taxi Driver we would not have been able to get into apartment on Saturday night. There was no reply in English to any of the phone numbers we had been given. The Taxi Driver stayed with us for about an hour before we were able to get the correct code.

Logement propre et assez spacieux pour 3 personnes.
Linge de lit e mt nécessaire de toilette à disposition bien pratique pour un séjour de quelques jours.
L'accès au logement dans une toute petite rue à sens unique est peu évident mais une fois arrivé nous n'avons plus utilisé la voiture (Parking cours Julien à 10min à pied) donc c'est un moindre mal.

We stayed two days before taking the train from marseille train station. It’s perfectly located to walk to the train station for an early departure, and also super close to Cours Julien for nice bars, restaurants and good vibes. All touristic sights are also close by. The terrace had great views and all amenities needed were there.
The place is in a more quiet street next to the big street leading to the train station. As a group, we felt safe but as alone traveler the big street may not have felt perfectly safe at night.

Dans l’ensemble le logement est correct et correspond aux photos en revanche l’agence avec laquelle j’ai traité et très peu arrangeante, ce sont des réponses automatiques la plus part du temps un arrivé tardive 16h pour un départ obligatoire et non négociable à 10h.
Très peu d’ustensiles de cuisines le strict minimum, vitre de sale de bain cassé qui laisse passé l’eau partout. Mais ça ne nous a pas empêché de passer un excellent séjour à Marseille meilleure ville de France

Apartment nearby the city center. The building was very old. The apartment has low quality of the renovation that it has. The area is a non-native area of the city, where almost averyone is migrant from overseas, speaking other languages not french.

Excellent séjour après une arrivée pleine d'imprévus. L'équipe Welkeys a été très réactive suite à notre demande. Personnes très sympathiques et professionnelles, leur grand réactivité a permis que tout rentre dans l'ordre rapidement. El apartamento es exactamente como describen en la oferta. Amplio y con un balcón con unas vistas maravillosas sobre Marseille. Esto es un plus, a pesar de ser un 4 piso sin ascensor.
La zona tiene muchos restaurantes cerca y está a 5 minutos del puerto.
Sin embargo la hora de checkout es muy temprana. Hay que dejar el departamento antes de las 10h de la mañana. Pedimos salir una hora más tarde pero fue denegado.
Este punto podría mejorar.

The apartment itself is very nice - bright, airy, and roomy. It is fairly well appointed with almost everything you want (although no washing machine, no iron and no terrestrial TV). And it does have a tiny balcony with nice rooftop views.
It is in a rough area, and we were robbed while trying to get the key from the lock box (my wife’s gold chain was ripped from her neck by a man lurking around).
It is on the 4th floor with access by a spiral staircase (not the best for those like us with lots of luggage on a long trip);
The lock needs repairing as it can only be opened by pulling the door towards you (which you do not know when you first arrive panting);
The check-in / check-out procedures required by the management agent (Welkeys) are the worse I have ever encountered in over 50 years of extensive travel for work and holiday. It is unnecessarily bureaucratic, cumbersome, clunky, tardy and moreover extremely stressful. You would have thought we were taking on a 12-month lease, not a 3-night mid-week stay. Issues include:
Having to enter our details twice in their system, in addition to providing them to Booking.com.
Requiring a deposit after payment had been made – initially it was to be €1000, but was reduced to €400. They forgot to ask for it until the last day when we were already travelling and would not give the access code until it was paid. You must pay a small administration fee upfront which our credit card provider rejected (probably because it looked like a scam) but we managed to pay with our debit card.
We then arrived before the access code was sent (given we are relying on WiFi to communicate this caused more issues).
Then once you have checked in you have to take photos of any damaged items. This seems fine, but you can only upload low resolution images, so you have to adjust the image size.
Checking out form comments section keeps taking you back to the end of the form after each letter if you want to edit your entry.
Then you are meant to send photos of the apartment as you are leaving. Why? Unless you take photos of every aspect of the apartment this provides no real protection.
It is in a rough area, and we were robbed while trying to get the key from the lock box (my wife’s gold chain was ripped from her neck by a man lurking around).
It is on the 4th floor with access by a spiral staircase (not the best for those like us with lots of luggage on a long trip);
The lock needs repairing as it can only be opened by pulling the door towards you (which you do not know when you first arrive panting);
The check-in / check-out procedures required by the management agent (Welkeys) are the worse I have ever encountered in over 50 years of extensive travel for work and holiday. It is unnecessarily bureaucratic, cumbersome, clunky, tardy and moreover extremely stressful. You would have thought we were taking on a 12-month lease, not a 3-night mid-week stay. Issues include:

Unsere Zeit in Marseille war toll! Mir und meinen 3 Freunden hat das Airbnb super gefallen! Zuallererst war ich überwältigt von der Aussicht! Tolle Sicht über Marseille und die Basilica. Auch schön ruhig. Die Bettensituation war super, total bequeme Schlafcouch, toll! Die Lage war der Hammer. Super zentral, mitten im Zentrum und wir haben uns immer sicher gefühlt. Das Bad ist modern und insgesamt ist der ganze Wohnung sehr schön und gepflegt. Positiv waren auch: Klimaanlage und moderner Fernseher. Das einzige Manko war, dass die Teller nicht vollkommen sauber waren und, dass es generell sehr wenig an Küchenutensilien gab (nur das aller-aller Nötigste). Gefehlt haben uns: mehr Spültabs für die Spülmaschine, Olivenöl, mehr Kaffeekapseln, kleine Schüsseln und Abtrocknungstücher. Ein paar Schränke in der Küche könnten mal ausgewechselt oder repariert werden. + Mehr Verstauungsmöglichkeiten. Nichts davon hat extrem gestört, aber da könnte was gemacht werden. Insgesamt: unbedingt wieder!! 😍

Loved being in Marseille again after 35 years ( I was there as a student in the late 80s) and the location on the Rue Chateauredon was ideal. As for Marseille, still a wonderful, magical, grimy, city, but of course after so much time passing, it has changed enormously (there are tourists now) with a far wider selection of bars and restaurants and basically things to do and see. The apartment's location is ideal for a saunter up to the Cours Julien and La Plaine and Gare St Charles for excursions and down to the Vieux Port and the sea. Its very close to the Metro and you can get around very easily. on public transport. We did day trips Aix, les Calanques and Cassis and finished at Notre Dame de La Garde before going to the airport. Enjoy folks, we'll be back.

it is hard to write something you like when you were struggling with the cold in this apartment
The company managing this property would spam your email/messages about using their link for check-in, security deposit, and asking for some personal information. I wasn’t particularly happy about uploading my passport picture through a third party link, and also I wasn’t at all happy with entering my credit card information in a third party link. upon check-in the guy who met me was not at all friendly. The apartment itself was very cold and the heater was not working, the toilet was moldy and when you take a shower, somehow there is a leak in the entrance and lastly, there were no utensils whatsoever inside the apartment.
Before check out, I asked for a late check out (i asked for 11 am or 12 pm instead of 10 am) and they were not flexible at all, they haven’t provided a reason to reject my request but they have mentioned (check out at 10 am is permanent)
In conclusion, I would not stay in this apartment again.

Fantastic apartment with a wonderful terrace to look out over Marseille. Great location with bars and boulongeries near by. We checked in an hour and a half after we were expecting and it was difficult to get in touch with them as they never phoned us back or told us when the place was ready but other than that it was great

My friends and I had a great time staying at this apartment. The location was perfect for walking through the city and a short walk from great bars and restaurants. Make sure to try the Zap sandwich shop. The apartment was spacious, had a good shower and view from the apartment was amazing. We had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is top! Het appartement voldeed volledig aan de verwachtingen: de foto's en de beschrijving op de website kwamen perfect overeen met de eigenlijke ruimte. De matras van het bed in de slaapkamer is daarenboven uitstekend! Het balkon met een prachtig uitzicht op la Bonne Mère (en de zee!) is zonder twijfel een enorm pluspunt, om nog maar te zwijgen van de ligging. Het appartement is namelijk gelegen in hartje Marseille; la Canebière is maar enkele stappen verwijderd (met metrostation), evenals le Cours Julien (met een bruisende sfeer!).
Kortom, Marseille is een zalige stad en dit appartement is de ideale uitvalsbasis om haar schoonheid te ontdekken!

Die Wohnung liegt recht zentral im lebhaften Viertel Noailles, was man abends auch am allgemeinen Lärmpegel merkt. Wenn man eine Wohnung mit zwei Betten braucht ist sie zu empfehlen, da die Schlafcouch breit und bequem ist. Der Balkon ist zwar schmal, man hat aber einen weiten Blick, da die Wohnung über den Dächern der Umgebung liegt. Nicht zu empfehlen, wenn Treppensteigen ein Problem ist.
Hinweis für Kaffeetrinker: die Kaffeemaschine ist von Nespresso, es passen aber auch die hauseigenen Kapseln von Torrefaction Noailles, 56 La Canebière, die es im 10er-Pack in verschiedenen Sorten gibt.
