At the foot of the building, you will find the Place des Trois Ormeaux where it’s nice to have a coffee or a drink in terrace, and it will just take you 4 min to reach the Cours Mirabeau. 5 min away, the Granet Museum, in the old Malte Palace, will seduce you with its architecture and the richness of the collections. The very nice Pavillon Vendôme and the Provence theater are just 15 min away. To relax, the Sextius thermal baths are 10 min away. At last, you will find the Place du Marché at 100m away.

We had a lovely week and a half in this apartment. The location is excellent - it is quiet which can be hard to find in parts of Aix. The apartment has been tastefully decorated and the kitchen has everything required to make meals. While not suited to people who may have difficulty walking up multiple steps, nor probably toddlers because of the steep steps within the apartment itself, it will definitely suit most people and is large enough to accommodate a few people happily. A nice place to stay, so close to restaurants and markets, excellent shops, the central train station and parking, in what has to be one of the best spots in one of the best towns in the south of France!

The property seems to be run by a company, and we got many messages, sometimes repeated on different platforms (sms, Whatsapp and Email), sometimes saying different things. When I tried to ask a question through the chat on the web, the answer came by Email and was placed in the SPAM folder so I found it too late. It would have been better to get the reply through the same chat I used to ask the question. When I called to ask about the wifi, they told me they would check and call back immediately but they never did.

The Welkey’s apt was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, updated, and the location was the best we could ask for near everything. The Welkey’s were also an amazing host, very responsive and was helpful upon check-in and check-out. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, but the management and cleaning of the Airbnb need improvement. Communicating mostly with a bot limited the help received. The apartment was not clean, especially the floor and towels. Despite sending pictures to the host, no assistance was provided. On the positive side, the apartment is well-equipped and comfy. Note that it's on the 4th floor without a lift, and the bedroom is small and not really suitable for tall people. Overall, the experience was mixed due to cleanliness and lack of responsiveness.

Central location in the old town. 67 stairs to the apartment so pack lightly. Parking is outside the town so we had some difficulty dropping of bags to the apartment and navigating out of the old town with all the city restrictions on certain streets at certain times of the day..

Les - : petit lit (140), pas de rideau occultant dans 2eme chambre, escaliers raides et dangereux, le pire étant le service client.
Outre le fait qu’on soit inondé de mails et de messages automatiques digne d’une société robotisée à outrance, quand par malheur on a affaire à une “vraie” personne celle-ci se montre arrogante et de mauvaise foi.
Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué, l’appartement ne dispose PAS de produits de base pour cuisiner. En soi pas grave sauf si quand on en fait la remarque, la personne “responsable” de welkeys nous prend de haut en affirmant que non, ce n’était pas dans les équipements prévus. Il a fallu prouver capture d’écran à l’appui que c’était bien inclus! Ce à quoi il a été répondu que seule l’huile était prévue (mauvaise foi, vue défaillante?)
Bref, la proposition de nous rembourser a été faite avec tant de mépris que j’ai décliné.

Les photos de cette dernière montrent bien l’aménagement des espaces nuit ainsi que l’escalier qui ne présente aucun danger et est équipé d’une rampe. Aesthetically, this is a great place! We traveled as a group of 3 and it was a good amount of space. It has a beautiful kitchen, large windows, and a modern bathroom. The decor is also warm and inviting.
That said, the amenities were less than ideal. To start, we only had one roll of toilet paper and had to go out and buy more. Not the end of the world but annoying since we were only there for a few days. Plus when I messaged the host about it they were slow to respond, said they only give each apartment two rolls, and when I said there was only one they didn’t seem to care. There was also a list of check out instructions which felt ironic given that they could barely accommodate our needs for something as simple as toilet paper!
The kitchen is also not well-equipped. We wanted to cook and had to buy things like salt/pepper and olive oil. Additionally, we couldn’t get the washer to work and don’t think it was user error as we didn’t have issues at other airbnbs in France.
That said, the amenities were less than ideal. To start, we only had one roll of toilet paper and had to go out and buy more. Not the end of the world but annoying since we were only there for a few days. Plus when I messaged the host about it they were slow to respond, said they only give each apartment two rolls, and when I said there was only one they didn’t seem to care. We were only with the two of us, but I think sleeping with four people (a couple on the bedsofa) would not be a problem at all, in spite of not being separate bedrooms, since it is so spacious.
