The neighborhood

Located between Salgesch and Leuk, Varen is a village known for its typical Valais wines, as well as for its numerous hikes. Enjoy the peace in the middle of nature and the good weather in this sunny village.

Archaeologists have found traces of its inhabitants dating back to the Bronze Age. It was in 1241 that the village was mentioned for the first time, at the sale of a vineyard.
You can discover Varen's expertise by tasting the local wine available throughout the village or by going on a wine tour through 10 wine estates run only by family businesses.

Varen is close to Leukerbad, which in winter offers a wide selection of sports and leisure activities. You can ski and snowboard, go sledging, go on winter walks and relax in the thermal baths.

Getting around

The accommodation is accessible by car. It lies at an altitude of about 930m and is accessible by a winding road. An outdoor parking space is at your disposal.
