The neighborhood

Located at the upper end of the resort, Le Fornet is an authentic and preserved hamlet renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, alpine charm, and direct access to the slopes. Nestled at the foot of the Col de l’Iseran, this area is ideal for nature lovers, ski enthusiasts, and those seeking tranquility.
It is served by the Fornet gondola and the new Vallon gondola (2024), providing quick access to the Fornet/Iseran ski area, famous for its exceptional snow conditions lasting well into late season (often until May) and its breathtaking scenery. From this sector, you can easily reach the Solaise area and the entire Val d’Isère – Tignes ski domain.
Le Fornet is also known for its traditional stone and wood chalets, as well as its high-end residences offering stunning mountain views. A free shuttle service provides regular connections to the center of Val d’Isère (less than 10 minutes away).

Getting around

The free shuttle service allows you to travel easily throughout the resort. It runs every 5 minutes throughout the day and takes you to the center of Val d’Isère in approximately 5 minutes from Le Fornet.
