Quinta dos Castanheiros – Nature & Tranquillity

Quinta dos Castanheiros is a traditional Madeiran house in Santa Cruz, surrounded by nature and vast gardens. With warm, cosy décor and room for up to 6 guests, it is perfect for families or friends seeking greenery, silence and tranquillity.
​​The house is set over two floors. The ground floor is home to the kitchen, equipped with a gas hob, oven, dishwasher and coffee machine, the dining room and the living room with fireplace, ideal for cosy evenings. Firewood is provided.
​​Upstairs are the three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two single beds, served by a bathroom with a shower. The house also has heaters, a washing machine, a cot and a baby high chair, plus Wi-Fi and a TV for streaming apps (no TV channels).
​​Outside, guests can freely explore the house's vast expanse of trees, with trails leading to the Levada da Serra and Santo da Serra, and enjoy the garden with outdoor furniture and a grill. The house also offers private parking.

​​AREA
​​Located in Santa Cruz, Quinta dos Castanheiros is surrounded by nature, in a green and peaceful setting perfect for switching off from everyday life. From the house itself, several trails lead to the Levada da Serra, Santo da Serra and Estrada das Carreiras, ideal for walks through the lush vegetation. After a day outdoors, there is nothing better than returning home and relaxing by the fireplace.

​​PROPERTY RULES
​​To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules.
​​
​​• Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance.
​​• Parties or events are not permitted.
​​• Pets are not permitted.
​​• Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night.
​​
​​The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property.
​​
​​In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes.
​​
​​Municipal tourist tax (when applicable):
​​€2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival.

​​Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability.
​​
​​Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00
​​Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge.
​​
​​By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions.

​​OTHER NOTES
​​All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket.
​​For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.
